winter contest entry.

This one was done in PSP X. I used 17 layers at total. Took me 8 hours to finish, 3 hours just for the final touches!:lol:

I had no idea what to submit to the =europeans winter wallpaper contest but then, when i was watching a christmas show on tv with some great lighting, I started thinking.. What the hell is winter without christmas. then i started to imagine one enchanted christmas ball, laid on the ground covered with snow with a snowflake shinning and spinning in show of light inside the ball. Then i thought to myself: "this i´d like to have on my desktop, even on my hands to admire its magical beauty."
So this was it, I got into work and created this. I'm still very fresh on digital art, so its not even near as perfect as I desired, but it was my best shot. I had to google for some marbles and crystal balls so i could have an idea how to make the glassy effect since I had no idea how to do it xD. Well enough of pointless chatter since not half of the deviants actually read descriptions and lets move on to the credits, YEAY:w00t:!

Awesome job. ^^ I can't... stop staring at it.

Although, the very edges of the ball look a bit rough against the background.
